Food security organizations in our area, including food pantries and senior centers, report they they struggle to meet their clients' needs for fresh produce. Adamah helps fill that gap by growing hundreds of pounds of vegetables each week intentionally for distribution to these partners. We work closely with them to plant adequate amounts of culturally appropriate foods and harvest for fresh delivery. We then fundraise into our Food Access Fund so that we can subsidize the food we distribute.
Help us in our mission to distribute fresh produce to families in need by donating to our Food Access Fund! Your donation will have the two-fold benefit of feeding community members in need while maintaining an income stream for your local, organic farm.
We work with the following food security organizations to make fresh produce more accessible to community members: - The Corner Food Pantry in Lakeville, CT - The Falls Village Senior Center in Falls Village, CT - Friendly Hands Food Pantry in Torrington, CT - Tuscan Brotherhood Homes in Hartford, CT
Our food access work is made possible by generous donations from our CSA members, individuals in the community, the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation, the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, Tri-Corner FEED, and the Jewish Federation of Western Connecticut. We are also grateful to our fellow members of the Tri-corner Nutrition Security Coalition for
